Youth Wrestling Registration

Important 2023-2024 Season Information!

  • Registration opens Monday August 28th for Returning Wrestlers Only, Registion will be open to everyone starting September 10th - REGISTRATION IS OPEN, Click here to Register
  • Cost is $175.00 if you are first year or returning and need a new singlet or $125.00 if you are returning and do not need a new singlet. You keep the singlet. We will have a new design for singlet this year
  • First year wrestlers who are 6 years old and younger, must attend practice on Wednesday, August 30th or Wednesday, September 6th in the wrestling room from 6:30-7:30 before you can register. This practice will be to determine the readiness of your wrestler to participate this year. You only need to attend one night.
  • A singlet sizing chart will be emailed in early October and there will be a "singlet sizing" held at 6:00 PM in the wrestling room on Wednesday October 18th. Any one ordering a singlet and sized after that date will not be guaranteed to have the singlet by our first meet. 
  • Practices are held in the BHS Gary Wise Wrestling Room (very southwest corner of the building) on Tuesdays & Thursdays. The first practice is at 6:00 PM on Thursday November 9th. At that practice, your child will be assigned to a group. Group practice times will be determined based on the number of kids but are typically 6:00-7:00 and 7:15-8:30.
  • Refunds are not available after we purchase practice shirts, USA Cards, and MVKWA Weigh-In Cards. These purchase dates are mandated by the league. The specific date will be emailed to you once the league notifies us of the mandated date.
  • There will be a mandatory new parent meeting at 6:30 PM on Tuesday November 14th, returning parents are welcome to attend. 
  • New participants will be required to bring a copy of their birth certificate to the first practice, unless uploaded during registration. You can not compete until we have a copy of your birth certificate on file. 
  • Everyone is required to participate in the fundraiser. We will be in contact with you regarding the fundraiser.

 MVKWA Meets:

  • Meets will have two sessions, your child will only wrestle in one session, starting times are TBA
  • Wrestlers’ staging will be next to their mat/#, with wrestlers sitting 6 feet apart when not wrestling.
  • There will be the end of season Regional and League Championship at the Nutter Center
