Renegades Sports Club – Rules, Policies and Procedures

Renegades Sports Club (RSC) provides professional instruction focusing on teaching fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our goal for each player is to learn, improve, and have respect for their team, teammates, opponents and the game of baseball. In order to accomplish these goals RSC relies on the fair and ethical conduct of each team’s manager. Below is an outline of the organization of the RSC program.

  • Management of the Renegades Sports Club organization will be conducted by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will consist of a President, Vice President, and Secretary.

  • Managers are responsible for the behavior of themselves, coaches, players, and parents while representing the Renegades. If any such event would occur, which would constitute conduct unbecoming, by any manager, coach, player or parent. Said person could face disciplinary action by the members of the Renegade Sports Club which could result in and up to dismissal from the team.

  • Team managers are responsible for scheduling practices, games, and tournaments. Field time will be determined by all the managers – When needed RSC will secure field times then distribute to managers at their request. It is recommended that teams join a travel league (Metro, ACB, etc.) each spring. The length of play will depend on the team’s commitment to in-house travel. It is recommended that once teams reach the 11U age that these teams play together through July and do not have players playing for in-house leagues or travel teams.

  • It is highly recommended that managers schedule all tournaments within driving distance to avoid overnight stays. Out of town tournaments requiring overnight stays should be limited and only be scheduled based with the consensus of the parents. There are plenty of competitive tournaments within driving distance. When siblings are playing within the RSC organizations and their teams want to schedule tournaments the same weekends, their respective teams will make every effort to schedule the same tournaments.

  • Practices are the basis for insuring quality teamwork. During the offseason practices will be optional – though all players will share the costs whether or not they attend. Once the season (mimicking the MLB) begins practices will be mandatory with exceptions for illness and family emergencies.

  • Uniforms will be determined by the organization. Sponsorships may be added to individual team uniforms. Practice uniforms will be specified and players are expected to wear these for all practices. These may vary from team to team and will be subject to weather conditions.
