The Berks Catholic Ice Hockey Club is open to Berks Catholic High School students and students who attend Catholic Elementary schools in Berks County. Students at the elementary level (grades 5-8) who are enrolled in their parish CCD program are also eligible to participate in this club. The Ice Hockey club provides participants opportunities to experience:
>Personal Growth
>Teamwork
>Sportsmanship
>Self-esteem
Club teams compete at the middle school, junior varsity, and varsity level. The Berks Catholic Ice Hockey Club practices and plays their games at the Body Zone Sports and Fitness complex. The club is one of 10 area high schools that compete in the East Penn Scholastic Ice Hockey League (EPSHL).
We proudly associate ourselves with and live by the Mission of Berks Catholic High School, making every attempt to uphold and enhance the schools reputation through our behavior on and off the ice. The club demonstrates two distinct features… First, we teach participants at all levels how to play the sport. This is a point-of-view that all of our coaches and adult helpers align with. Second, we insure that all participants receive reasonably equal ice time and that they are safe at all times… everyone plays.
