Q:  When does our in season work begin?

A:  Our SELECT season has a preseason session in March (1 Tournament), a late summer session in July (1 Tournament), and then an off-season session allowing our players to continue working after their summer club teams finish, playing in September (1 Tournament), and October (1 Tournament).

Q:  How many kids per team?

A:  Roster of 10-12 players.  We may carry additional members on the team if that player is a P.O. (pitcher only).  Pitcher only players will not play a position, or hit in a tournament, unless the tournament requires.  Lastly, changes could be made in the event of injury.

Q: What if I am picked as a pitcher only?

A:  Players can tryout as a pitcher only, or you might be asked to pitch only.  If you are one of these two, you will receive a discount of your player fee.

Q:  How are additional players, add-on/fill-in players picked and what is their role on the team?

A:  If players are unable to go to some tournaments for extenuating circumstances.  Our staff will be responsible for filling in the roster spot.  The roster movement will be based on what is best for the team.  We will communicate with everyone involved, what is your child’s role, and position.

Q:  Do Parents have to travel with their son?

A: We encourage the parents to come, but if you unable, a plan of action must be put in place.  This situation will be covered in more detail after players are committed to the team.

Q:  If I’m selected to join the team, how long do I have to decide?

A:  7 days is our timeline.  We encourage parents to discuss the cost, and time commitment prior to trying out for the team.   Following the 7th day, we will move down the list of possible players.  Parents will receive an e-mail after day 4, and one final on day 7.  If we don’t hear from you, we will move forward.

Q:  How is playing time determined?

A:  Each tournament we compete in will dictate the rules we will follow.  Tournaments normally have a 4-game guarantee (2-games Day 1, 2-games Day 2).  Players will bat in a continuous order with players receiving relatively equal defensive playing time.  Please note, if a team earns a playoff spot, the coach has the right to play with 9 players.  If the tournament states we can only bat 10 players, we will rotate other players in throughout each game.
