In a year that saw four new teams team joining the existing five league members, it was fitting that nine of the fourteen all-star selections were first time choices, with eight of those players participating in their first DNL season.

The list of players repeating as all-star selections was lead by Joe Aul who was chosen for the fourth consecutive year, while Delaine Ofchinick joins the group for the fifth time in the eight years the league has been naming a team. Kyle Lucot, chosen among the league’s best for the second consecutive season, was the top vote getter among the outfielders this year. Tyler Dillinger and Craig Price make the all star team for the second time in each of their careers. Chad Jacob was honored as both a pitcher and the designated hitter on the team.

Each of the starting pitchers receiving all-star team distinction gathered the same number of votes from the league’s managers, while the voting for two of the position player slots ended in a tie, indicated below with a (T).

For only the second time in the eight year history of the DNL all-star team, there were no unanimous choices, another strong reflection of the close regular season championship race.
