NWOABL 11u Division Rules

11U League Games will follow Major League Baseball Rules Unless Noted Below:

 

1.    Final Four Play ~2nd Week of July – Dates to be confirmed by commissioner

A)   To Be Eligible, teams must complete 75% of league games

*Commissioner has final say on any disputes

2.    Game Play

A)   7 Inning Games (Double Headers - 6 Innings / Game)

B)   No New Inning Can Start After 2 Hours 30 Mins (2 Hrs 15 mins for Double Header)

C)   The Last Out of a Full Inning = The Start Time For a New Inning

D)   Once game has started, the umpire has final call on when game is ended due to darkness, weather, etc.

E)   Official Game is 3 ½ or 4 Innings (2 ½ or 3 innings if Double Header)

                                                i.     If Umpire Calls a game and the game has passed the Official Play Innings, the Final Score will be the score at the end of the last completed inning

                                              ii.     If the score was tied after the last completed inning, the game ends in a Tie

                                             iii.     If the game is called and has not completed enough innings to be official, the game is suspended and will be rescheduled to resume from the position where it was left off when suspended

1.    Any pitchers that have been replaced in the game are not eligible to pitch when the game resumes.

2.    Lineups, Positions, and game situation are to remain in tact from when play was suspended

F)    Extra innings will be played if there is a tie after 6 innings unless the time limit has been reached

                                                i.     Extra Inning(s) are played like a normal inning (no special format)

                                              ii.     If the umpire suspends the game in extra innings due to weather, light, etc, the game will end in a tie

3.    Playing Field Distances

A)   Pitching Rubber to Plate Distance - 46’

B)   Base to Base Distance - 65’

4.    Mercy Rules

Single Game                                             Double Header

A)   20 Runs after 3 Innings                            15 Runs After 3 Innings

B)   15 Runs after 4 innings                            10 Runs After 4 Innings

C)   10 Runs after 5 innings                            8 Runs After 5 Innings

D)   8 Runs after 6 innings

There is no inning run limit – 3 outs ends the inning, unless home team reaches mercy rule total

 

5.    Pitching Limits

A)   Pitchers Can Throw A Maximum of 4 Innings / 7 Inning Game (3 Innings / 6 Inning Game)

B)   1 Pitch = 1 Inning

6.    Pitcher Balks Will Be Enforced

                                                i.     Umpire Judgement Call

                                              ii.     Managers and Umpire are encouraged to determine how to handle balks prior to the game

                 iii.     If a Balk is Called, the Play is Immediately Dead
