WCFL Cheer can & will provide a team for any & all cheerleaders who wish to become part of our family!
The Western Communities Football League, Inc. (WCFL) is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit Sports Organization.
GOALS OF THE WCFL:
1. To provide a forum for the recreational needs of youth ages 4-15 for our recreational program and ages 10-18 for our competitive program.
2. To encourage teamwork, good sportsmanship, self esteem, trusting and caring for others.
3. To promote healthy minds and healthy bodies, making friends, demonstration of self control, learning to follow directions, and most importantly...to HAVE FUN!
The WCFL, established in 1992, provides a recreational football and cheerleading program for the youth of Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, The Acreage, West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, Loxahatchee and Boynton Beach, Florida.
All coaches are NYSCA certified Cheerleading Coaches, and undergo a complete FBI fingerprinting and background check before taking the field with a team or a squad. Coaches, Board Members and Team Parents are VOLUNTEERS AND OUR NOT PAID.
CHEERLEADING-SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
WCFL Cheerleading does not hold try-outs. Space on the squads is on a first-come, first-served basis, limited by the number of volunteer coaches we have each season.
Cheerleaders are taught the fundamentals of cheerleading, including motions, jumps, dance, cheers, chants and stunts. All levels of experience are welcome, from beginner to elite!
We are a recreational program with AllStar expectations. We incorporate motions, dance, jumps, tumbling and stunts in our team routines. Meet new people, make new friends, gain self-confidence and increase self-esteem in our friendly environment. LEARN new skills such as jumps, stunts, pyramids, baskets, front/back tumbling and dance/motion combinations.
WCFL Cheerleaders cheer for the WCFL Football Teams in each division. ALL Cheerleaders will participate in the Orange Bowl Cheer/Dance Competition AND to be a part of the FANTASTIC Orange Bowl Youth Football Championship Game Halftime Show!!

Year-Round Competition Teams:
The WCFL Cheerleading Program is offering an expansion of our recreational program and introducing year-round competitive teams chosen through try-outs ONLY! What makes the WCFL Cheer Program different from other cheer programs is that we are offering a higher level of competitiveness in a quality program without the unnecessary competitive expenses. Our focus is competitive cheerleading that will expand awareness and exposure to this growing sport. We hope that our new competitive program will open new doors for scholarships into Universities and, in turn, hope this will encourage cheerleaders to reach new goals! Our goal is to focus on cheerleaders up to age 18.
The WCFL Cheer Dazzle teams will encourage integrity, provide a safe environment, give your cheerleader a positive influence and will focus on proper techniques and progression that will push our athletes to be all that they can be in the sport of cheerleading.
Our program will give cheerleaders an opportunity to express themselves through competitive cheer while also establishing a sense of community pride and responsibility. It is our goal to teach our cheerleaders with positive motivation, teamwork and self-esteem, while we instill discipline, physical exercise and develop their talents and a sense of accomplishment with a winning attitude that focuses on sportsmanship.
Cheerleaders chosen to be on a Cheer Dazzle team MUST be fully aware of last minute changes to practice/special event schedules, MUST be fully aware of our rules and policies and MUST be fully ready to commit to a year-round program and place their team as a priority before other sports programs.
