Youth Multi-Sport Camp & Classes

Princeton Recreation Department has partnered with US Sports Institute (USI) to offer the Multi-Sports Camp and for boys and girls this summer and Multi-Sport Classes this Fall. US Sports Institute is a full time professional sports provider that works with Recreation Departments and community organizations all over the country. All programs are taught by USI staff in a safe and structured environment that allow participants to experience a variety of sports while emphasizing fun.

Summer Camp
Multi-Sports Camp (Ages 5 - 11)
Monday, August 20 - Friday, August 24 at Community Park South

Full Day Option: 9am - 3pm with optional CP Pool visit from 3 - 4:30pm
Cost of Full-Day Camp: Princeton Resident - $219 or Non-Resident - $262

Half Day Option: 9am - 12:30pm
Cost of Half-Day Camp: Princeton Resident - $169 or Non-Resident - $202

Squirts Multi-Sports (Ages 3 to 5)

Senior Multi-Sports Squirts (Ages 5 to 7)
Saturdays, 9/15/18 - 11/3/18 from 11am - 12pm

Fall 2018 Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic

 The Princeton Recreation Department will host the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic (Sports Awareness for Educating Today's Youth) for volunteer youth sport coaches on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. The clinic will run from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the main meeting room of the Witherspoon Street Municipal Building (400 Witherspoon St). Attendees must be there for the entire 3 hour program. Anyone arriving after 7pm will not be allowed to enter. Doors will open at 6:30pm

The state of New Jersey requires volunteer coaches to attend a "safety orientation and training skills program" in order to be eligible for civil immunity protection provided by the Little League Law (2A:62A-6 et. seq.)  The curriculum for the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y.Clinic is based upon the Minimum Standards for Volunteer Coaches Safety Orientation and Training Skills Programs (N.J.A.C. 5:52) and has been tested in court as having met the standards.

·      Psychological Aspects of Coaching

·      General Coaching Concepts

·      Training and Condition Athletes

·      Medical/First Aid Aspects of Coaching
