Ø Falcons Youth Wrestling is entering its 3rd season and is available to kids in grades 1-8. No prior wrestling experience is necessary.
Ø Participants will wrestle with kids of similar weight/age/ability level.
Ø The season runs from November 27th until February 13th. Practices are every Mon and Tue from 5:30-7PM in the Midway Room at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center.
Ø Several local youth tournaments will be promoted throughout the season.
Ø There will be a FREE “preview/intro night” on Monday November 20th so that participants AND parents can learn more about the sport of wrestling and what to expect from the Falcons program. Everyone should attend even if you participated last year. First official practice is Monday November 27th
Ø Cost is $100 (plus a $6.50 insurance fee). Your registration fee includes a sweatshirt, t-shirt and shorts which participants will be able to keep. It also includes a singlet which will be issued to your son if they choose to participate in tournaments. Participation in tournaments is optional.
Ø Participants will need wrestling shoes and headgear (preferably in Falcons colors). They should wear shorts and a t-shirt to practices. Knee pads, mouth guard, sweatpants and sweatshirts are optional.
Ø Program director is current Parkside High School head varsity wrestling coach Burt Cashman. Other local coaches and wrestlers will be on hand at practices to assist. We are always looking for volunteers to help! Contact Coach Cashman at bucashman@gmail.com if you are interested in helping.

ØFirst…Fill out the online INTEREST form through the Falcons website…
**Completing this form does not mean that you are officially registered or even obligated to participate. Completing this form is important so that we know approximately how many participants to expect and plan accordingly, obtain contact information, etc.
ØSecond…To OFFICIALLY register you must go to the Civic Center box office or register through the Wicomico Co Rec and Parks website…

Due to limited space in the Midway Room we may have to cap enrollment at approximately 80 participants so act quickly!
