Summary:

This section is to serve as general information about JCYFL.

 

Registration:

Registration is on done online via this website. It costs $125.00 to play football for this league. We give discounts to siblings that sign up. Once registered the league will provide helmet, shoulder pads, and game jersey. A mouth piece will be provided at the beginning of the season. If lost, the player must buy their own. The Junior Varsity and Varsity divisions are split by school district. If a player lives in one district but attends school in another they may choose which team to play for. Children who don't live or go to school in Jessamine County, will be placed on the team with the least amount of players. Pee Wee players will be drafted so games are competitive. 

 

Each Participants Need:

Each participant will need the the following:

  • padded football pants for games/practices (required)
  • football cleats (required)
  • practice jersey
  • extra mouth piece

 

Practice & Games:

Each team is allowed to practice 3 days a week for 2 hours maximum. The coach will decide when and where practices are held and must communicate cancellations and changes to practices. If the participant plans to miss practice, their guardian is expected to communicate their absence to the coach.

Games will be primarily on Saturday. The schedule will be developed in July for the conference. Conference games will require travel and the participant's guardians are responsible for transportation. Games typically start the weekend after labor day. The Season will end 2nd weekend in November. At the conclusion equipment must be turned back in or a bill for the equipment will be sent.
