King is entering his fifth season with the A's and looks to get back to the dominance he's used to seeing on the mound. In only two starts last season, Mason went undefeated with a 3.73 ERA and 1.53 WHIP, both numbers that are rather inflated when compared to years past. 2018 will be all about getting back in a rhythm for King: making routine starts, finding the correct arm slotting, and actively hitting spots around the plate. This will also directly tie into his batting; after hitting .400 in 2016, Mason hit just .067 in 2017 with one hit. As long as he can submerge himself in the game like he once was, he will return to the massive weapon he's been for the A's in years past.
