Ball Handling: Good ball handler who plays both guard positions. Needs to continue to gain confidence in his left hand & see the entire floor. At times dribbles with his head down when going to the basket. Can create plays off the dribble for his teammates & himself. Goes to the basket hard with no fear of getting fouled.
Footwork: Good foot speed on the offensive end of the floor. Nice habit of being in the triple threat position. Needs to use the same foot speed on the defensive end of the floor. He needs to step slide & take advantage of his athletic abilty. Utilizes shot fakes and pivots well.
Jump Shot: Shoots the ball descent with a good in-between game. Uses his knees well which gives him good lift on his jump shot. Needs to gain confidence in his shooting ability.
Passing: Passes the ball very well. With time he'll get stronger to get more snap on the pass. Can make plays for his teammates.
Defense: Quick feet, but needs to understand the defensive principles of basketball. At times gets too aggressive & gambles for the ball. Has a good athletic body with quick feet, but can be a better defender.
Player Summary: Entering his 4th year of organized basketball. Only in the 2nd grade. A good player with the right attitude. Has a bright future in the game of basketball if he continues to work on his game. Needs to get stronger & study the game of basketball. Very athletic and coachable player. Enjoys hanging out with his teammates.
