Coach James "Boogie" Washington was born and raised in Washington, DC and attended both DC and PG County public schools. He developed a love for the game at the age of 11 and has dedicated his life to the game. Coach Boogie played 3 years of varsity basketball at Forestville High School where he led his team to win a state championship and accomplished numerous individual achievements. He played 3 years at the college level and also played in multiple semi-pro leagues. During this time Coach Boogie’s passion for the game led him to giving back and helping inner-city youth that faced the same obstacles he overcame. He has been a mentor and coach for over 15 years, coaching 9 years of high school and 7 years of AAU and recreational basketball. He has always dreamed of starting an organization to develop kids that share the same passion for the game. Coach Boogie is committed to expanding a players confidence, mental and physical conditioning by teaching the fundamentals of basketball. His dedication, passion, and love for the game and youth are tremendous.
