Instructions on completing the background check and the ACE Certification test

After you have carefully read the instructions please click on the ASA logo to get started.

(step 1) Click new user registration or returning coaches can use last years login.  (Returning users skip to step 5)

(step 2) Click create profile. Use "OH-Ohio ASA" for your association

(step 3) You will be taken to a page title that says "verify your member profile."
Scroll to bottom of page and click "Create account."

(step 4) You will now enter your profile information. At the bottom of the page select head coach (coach if you are an assistant) under non Admin. Roles registration.

(step 5) You will then be taken to the next page. for head coaches Please select background check/ACE Certification.

For assistant coach select background check.

(Step 6) The status will say pending until you confirm your ASA account in your email.(It may take a few minutes to process the background check.)

Log into your Email account and confirm your ASA account.

Click the link provided and sign in to your ASA account.

(If there is a problem with your criminal background check ASA will contact you NOT the NGSA.  The NGSA does not get a report from ASA on background or ACE, it is your responsibility to give a copy to the league for our records.)

(Remember the only information that is checked is criminal not financial.)

ACE Certification Test

(step 1) You will be asked to watch a 3 to 5 minute video.
When you are finished you will be given a short test.
You will continue this process until you have completed and answered all of the questions.
You should allow about 50 minutes for completing the test.
The test is not hard but I would recommend taking notes on subjects that you feel is important for future reference.

Congratulations you are finished!

You will receive your ASA ACE certification ID (membership) card in the mail in 5-10 days
For those qualifying for reimbursement please give a copy of your receipt to the league Treasurer.
