Bryan Erstad went 2-for-4 with three RBI as the Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants beat the Fargo Expos 7-1 on Wednesday at Helling Field in Fargo.
The Merchants improved to 14-5 with the win, outhitting the Expos 10-4.
Preston Jensen added two hits, two runs and stole a base. Jameson Benson had a two-run double in the win. Leadoff man Scott Stephenson singled, walked and scored two runs.
Brandon Baumgartner, Greg Lunski and Sam Hirchert each pitched three innings, combining to allow just the one run on four hits with 14 strikeouts.
The Merchants play in Jamestown on Sunday, facing the Jamestown Greyhounds at Jack Brown Stadium. The doubleheader will follow Sunday’s Post 14 Alumni Game, which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
