Fargo, ND - The Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning en route to a 6-2 win over the Jamestown Elks on Wednesday night at No Name Field.
Preston Jensen went 2-for-3 with two runs batted in for the Merchants, who improved to 8-4 on the season. Anthony Fontana added two hits, an RBI and run scored. Jason Angelo also had two hits and scored twice. Bryan Erstad added an RBI-double. Andrew Hill and Jared Purdy had one hit and one RBI each.
Brandon Baumgartner worked three innings of hitless relief to get the win on the mound for the Merchants. Baumgartner walked one and struck out two. Sam Hirchert went the first six innings, allowing just two runs (one earned) with seven strikeouts.
