Fargo, ND – The Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants fried the Cass County Catfish yet again at Merchant Field on Wednesday night 13-2, to extend their win streak to five.
The Merchants jumped on Catfish starter Gage Ausmus early taking a 3-0 lead after two.
Shane Wolf battled the wet conditions and silenced the Catfish all night, throwing six innings of two-run ball to pick up his first career Merchant win. He promptly celebrated by heading to The Turf for Mug Night.
The Merchant bats exploded for multiple runs in the fifth and sixth and three runs a piece in the seventh and eighth to end the game via the ten-run rule after eight.
At the plate the Merchants were highlighted by Doppler Dan Ross as he hit his second home run of the season. Joe Vannett and Jared Meiklejohn each added three hits for the M’s.
The Miller Lite Merchants will take on the Mayville Redcaps next Wednesday at Merchant Field.
