Fargo, ND – New jersey’s and the sound of Fergie in the background couldn’t even distract the Merchants Wednesday night as they dominated the Mayville Redcaps 11-1 in Fargo League play.

The Merchants pounded out 14 hits, highlighted by an eighth inning grand slam by Tony Viger to put the M’s up 10-1.

Dakotah Kirchenwitz continued his hot streak at the plate collecting three hits from the leadoff spot. Viger, Bryan Erstad and Joe Vannett each had two hits for the Merchants.

Greg Lunski picked up his second win of the year for the Merchants throwing four scoreless innings.

The Merchants have the weekend off before they take on the Cass County Catfish next Wednesday. First pitch scheduled for 6:59 PM.
