The Model Laboratory baseball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 13-0 win Thursday on the road over Burgin.
The Patriots (5-8) had 14 hits and did not commit an error.
A pair of Model pitchers combined to throw a one-hitter. Taylor Hill started and went three innings, allowing one hit while striking out seven. Zack Long went two innings and had three strikeouts.
Hill also had a big game at the plate. He was 3-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and scored a run.
Nate Davis was 2-for-5. John Frazier was 2-for-4 with two RBI and scored once. Brandon Tudor was 2-for-2 with a double an RBI and scored twice.
Model scored nine times in the first inning, then added three more runs in the second.
Gunnar Rhodus was 2-for-2 and scored a run. Rummel Evans was 1-for-2 with a walk, a RBI and scored twice. Long was 1-for-1 and scored once. Casey Brandenburg was 1-for-1 with two walks and scored twice.
Mitchell McCown had two RBI and scored twice. Jakob Tharp walked, drove in a run and scored a run. Cruse Pingleton walked and scored a run.
Model is set to return to action Saturday at Clay County.
