The Merchants earned revenge over the Jamestown Tarno Townies prior to the title game in loser-out play. The Merchants topped the Townies 4-1 after the Townies opened its tournament on Saturday with a 9-8 victory against the Merchants.

The Merchants' Jared Meiklejohn came through with a clutch, two-out hit with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third. Meiklejohn lifted a lazy fly ball to center on an 0-2 count that was in and out of the glove of a diving Connor Hoyt in center field. Two runs scored on the play, handing the Merchants a 2-1 lead.

The Merchants tacked on two more runs in the fifth. Kyle Leapaldt shouldered the loss for the Townies, whose roster included Post 14 players Dawson Douty, Chris Erickson, Tommy Falk, Aaron Kleven, Drew Murray and Hoyt.
