Description

The Peter Kraft Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of Peter Kraft who spent a majority of his life developing young baseball players all over the Lehigh Valley. He served for 26 years in the Freemansburg-Bethlehem Township Athletic Association. He was also inducted into the Pennsylvania American Legion Hall of Fame. His love and passion for the game of baseball inspired our league many years ago to give this scholarship in his honor. 

This financial assistance award in the amount of $1,000.00 for higher education (trade school or college) is made possible through the funds of the Lehigh Valley Little Baseball League and the Freemansburg Athletic Association. The criteria for scholarship eligibility are:

·      Applicant must be planning to attend college or trade school (proof of acceptance is required),

·      Applicant must be a senior varsity baseball player for his high school,

·      Applicant must have played at least one (1) year in the Lehigh Valley Little Baseball League,

·      Applicant must submit an essay of 500 words on the topic of: “What baseball has meant to me and how it has shaped me into the person I am today.” 

 The completed application and essay must be received by the league no later than June 30, 2026.
