The full All-Idaho basketball teams are out. Meet the 120 best players in the state

The votes are in from every corner of the state. Now it’s time to reveal the All-Idaho boys basketball and girls basketball teams.
Below are the links to the first and second teams in each classification.
BOYS BASKETBALL
1A Division I All-Idaho boys basketball team | 2021
Note: The All-Idaho teams are chosen by each classification’s coaches. The Idaho Statesman hosts the voting process and publishes the results.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: TITUS YEAROUT, LAPWAI
Why he is player of the year: The 6-2 junior guard led all classifications in scoring again at 24.0 points per game, and he’s already surpassed 1,500 career points with another year left. He added 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 3.1 steals and 1.2 blocks to lead the Wildcats to a state championship
Coach’s comment: “He scores at all three levels — post-up, midrange, 3-pointers. He takes pride in his defense and rebounds the ball at a high level,” Lapwai coach Zachary Eastman said.
What others are saying: “He’s an extremely unselfish player who could score 50 a night if he wanted to, but he involves his team every possession,” Kamiah coach Aaron Skinner said.
What’s next: He will return for his senior year and another shot at a title.
CHARLIE DEBOER, RIVERSTONE
The University of Puget Sound commit carried the Otters to the state finals for the first time in program history. The 6-3 senior wing racked up 21.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.7 steals while shooting 67% from the floor despite being the focus of every defensive scheme.
NICK LIEBICH, RIVERSTONE
The 5A all-state soccer player of the year for Boise High was also a force on the hardwood. The 6-6 senior was a monster in the paint, but he also had the athleticism to guard any position on the floor. He averaged 15.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.8 steals, 2.9 assists and 1.9 blocks.
KENYON SPOTTED HORSE, LAKESIDE
Last year’s 1A Division II player of the year, the 6-foot senior point guard had no trouble moving up a classification. He always elevated his play the bigger the game, finishing the year with 18.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 3.4 assists per game.
KASE WYNOTT, LAPWAI
The 6-4 freshman forward earned state tournament MVP honors for the Wildcats. His mix of 3-point shooting, midrange jumpers and inside moves allowed him to score 18 points a game at state and finish the season with 15.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
COACH OF THE YEAR: ZACHARY EASTMAN, LAPWAI
The second-year coach led the powerhouse program to its 11th state championship this season.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: MANIAH CLEGG, GRACE
Why she is player of the year: The 6-foot senior center dominated the paint to lead the Grizzlies to their first state title since 1986. She averaged 13.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks for the season. But she stepped it up at state, posting 18.7 points and 15 rebounds a night.
Coach’s comment: “Despite all of her individual success on the court, she wanted one thing more than anything else — and that was for her team to win. She epitomizes what a true leader should be like,” Grace coach Kyle Christensen said.
What others are saying: “When she wants to score, she will score. When she wants a rebound, she will get that rebound,” Potlatch coach Brandon McIntosh said.
What’s next: She is weighing multiple college offers.
SINTIA VARELA, RIMROCK
Whatever the Raiders needed and whenever they needed it, the 5-8 senior guard delivered. She racked up 20.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.3 assists to carry Rimrock to its first state tournament trophy (consolation title) since 2006.
MADISON SHEARS, PRAIRIE
Last season’s 1A Division I player of the year, the 5-5 senior point guard led the Pirates to another runner-up finish at state. Her elite speed and hard-nosed defense made her an unquestioned leader who averaged 13.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.2 steals and 4.3 assist
MADISON HODNETT, LIBERTY CHARTER
The 6-3 senior forward made the All-Idaho team for the fourth time, and the first team for the third time. The Corban University (NAIA) signee averaged a double-double each year, including 16.7 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game this season.
CLAIRA OSBORNE, GENESEE
The Whitepine League’s player of the year averaged a double-double of 18.2 points and 10.0 rebounds while adding 3.8 steals and 1.3 assists per game. The 5-10 senior forward could play any position and kept opposing coaches up at night trying to find a way to stop her.
COACH OF THE YEAR: KYLE CHRISTENSEN, GRACE
He snapped the Grizzlies’ 34-year state championship drought in his third season as the coach.
