Men's Hoops Sign Yearout

MOSCOW, Idaho -- The Idaho men's basketball team added a local star to its 2022 roster when it signed Lapwai senior Titus Yearout to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.

"Titus is a scoring point guard that can get himself to the rim and stretch the defense," said Head Coach Zac Claus. "He already possesses a level of physicality that will benefit him from day one with our team."

Yearout led the state of Idaho in scoring during his junior campaign with 24 points per game while grabbing eight rebounds and 5.5 assists a game. He also led Lapwai High School to a state championship win over Riverstone last season.

This past summer, Yearout competed on the Idaho Select AAU team where he helped guide the team to one championship win in three appearances. His most notable performance came in a championship game in Irvine, CA, where he dropped 30 points.

Yearout excels in the classroom, earning a 3.72 unweighted GPA throughout high school. He is interested in majoring in Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences (B.S.) at the University of Idaho next fall.

Outside of basketball, Yearout is a standout quarterback and outside linebacker on the Lapwai football team.
