1A Division I All-Idaho football team: The top 8-man talent from throughout the state

1A DIVISION I ALL-IDAHO PLAYER OF THE YEAR Titus Yearout, Lapwai His future may be in basketball as an Idaho signee and the reigning 1A Division I player of the year. But the 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior carried the Wildcats to the semifinals as dual-threat quarterback and disruptive defensive end. He racked up 3,172 yards and 46 TDs on offense. He also had 73 tackles and 15.5 tackles for loss on defense.

“In terms of pure athletes, Titus is right there at the top in the state regardless of classification,” Genesee coach Justin Podrabsky said.

COACH OF THE YEAR Brennan Jones, Oakley He repeats as the coach of the year after leading the Hornets to back-to-back wins over rival Raft River in the state finals.

FIRST TEAM OFFENSE

QB: Payton Beck, Oakley The 5-9, 150-pound senior spearheaded a potent offense (54.3 ppg), completing 67% of his passes for 2,007 yards, 37 TDs and six interceptions.

RB: Brody Hasselstrom, Prairie Even though defenses keyed on him, the 5-8, 190-pound senior ran for 1,194 yards and 21 TDs to make the first team again.

RB: Treyton Miller, Butte County A powerful downhill runner, the 5-10, 200-pound junior ran for 1,274 yards and 17 TDs to carry the Pirates to the semifinals.

WR: Cy Wareham, Genesee A big-play threat no matter the coverage, the 6-3, 185-pound senior racked up 65 catches for 1,203 yards and 14 TDs.

WR: Dace Jones, Oakley A first-team linebacker last year, the 5-11 senior is recognized for his offensive contributions (53 catches, 841 yards, 17 TDs).

OL: Porter Taylor, Butte County With his size (6-2, 230) and quick feet, the Pirates ran for most of their 355 yards per game behind the senior.

OL: Logan Amos, Potlatch Two Loggers ran for more than 1,000 yards thanks in large part to the 6-2, 215-pound junior, a devastating pulling blocker.

OL: Jesse Cronan, Prairie His quick feet and explosive first step made the 5-11, 185-pound senior guard a threat while pulling or blocking straight ahead.

K: Ethan Southern, Raft River The Trojans hadn’t attempted a PAT in at least 15 years, Raft River coach Chad Evans said. The senior changed that overnight.

DEFENSE

DL: Julian Gallegos, Notus Despite injuries limiting him in two games, the senior still led the 1A Division I ranks with 14 sacks and added 50 tackles.

DL: Boone Gamett, Butte County The 5-9, 175-pound senior racked up 48 tackles, eight sacks, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, two blocked punts and two defensive TDs.

DL: Korbin Hansen, Raft River The 6-1, 180-pound junior stepped into a starring role and immediately delivered with 55 tackles and six sacks.

LB: Dylan Pickering, Clearwater Valley The 6-foot, 200-pound senior repeats as a first-teamer with 70 tackles, 12 TFLs, 10 sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

LB: Tayden Hibbard, Prairie His aggressive mindset and never-ending motor led the 5-10, 175-pound senior to 55.5 tackles, 18 TFLs and six sacks.

LB: Thaine Loughmiller, Raft River As second-team pick last year, the 5-10, 160-pound senior graduates to the first team after 83 tackles, five sacks and four interceptions.

DB: Tegan Whitaker, Raft River A weapon on defense (61 tackles, two INTs) and in the return game (3 TDs), the 5-6, 135-pound senior played bigger than his frame.

DB: Cy Wareham, Genesee With his second-team selection at kicker, he made the All-Idaho teams at three positions thanks to 14 pass breakups and three picks.

P: Rebel Beard, Butte County The skinny junior (6-0, 150) had a cannon for a leg, averaging 46 yards per punt to continually flip field position.
