Cornerstone Trait - INDUSTRIOUSNESS

IndustriousnessThere is no substitute for work. Worthwhile results come from hard work and careful planning.

  • Constant, energetic, or devoted effort
  • The state or quality of being hardworking and diligent

In defining the terms found in the definition, is there any area in your life these would not apply?

Proverbs 14:23 - All hard work brings a profit but mere talk leads only to poverty

  • Profit - returns, proceeds, or revenue from investments.
  • Poverty - deficiency of necessary or desirable ingredients or qualities.

Proverbs 12:11 - He who works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who pursues worthless things lacks sense

Another way to phrase the first sentence here is "he who works his land" or work your ground. The ground is where your feet are, and one of our axiomatic sayings with Process is Be where your feet are.

It is safe to say if we work our ground, give great effort, and think "well done is better than well said" we will have leadership opportunities galore! The standard at which you work will set you apart from most everyone in your peer group.

Begin with the end in mind...how do you want this season to look like at the end of our time together? If you can answer that, you have a plan. Now is the time to implement it so you can see measurable and tangible growth in all areas a man needs to grow: Spiritually, Physically, Mentally, and Socially.
