Exciting finishes and surprising upsets lead to six great championship matchups

1AD1 Semifinal | Lapwai 75, Raft River 29

The top-seeded Wildcats raced past the fourth-seeded Trojans to advance to the championship for the second time in three years.  Jordyn McCormack-Marks led the way with 20 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals, and was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Lapwai (20-3) will face league rival Prairie in the championship.  Raft River (20-5) will take on Butte County for third place.


1AD1 Semifinal | Prairie 56, Butte County 37

Third-seeded Prairie blew past second-seeded Butte County, handing the Arco squad their first loss of the season.  Kristin Wemhoff scored 12 points, dished out 8 assists, pulled down 5 rebounds and collected 4 steals for Prairie in the win.  Wemhoff was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Prairie (20-4) will face district rival Lapwai for the championship on Saturday.  Butte County (22-1) will fight for third against Raft River.


1AD1 Loser Out | Oakley 53, Liberty Charter 23

The fifth-seeded Hornets used a smothering defense to hold eighth-seeded Liberty Charter in check.  Addie Mitton collected 3 steals for the Oakley defense, and added 12 points of 4-of-8 shooting from three to earn IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors.  Oakley (18-7) advances to the consolation final.  Liberty Charter's season concludes with a 12-12 record.

1AD1 Loser Out | Notus 64, Wallace 48

The three-point shooting of sixth-seeded Notus helped propel the Pirates past seventh-seeded Wallace in a loser out contest.  Victoria Ortega was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game after leading Notus with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.  Notus (17-4) will face Oakley in the consolation final.  Wallace, making their first appearance at state since 2008, finishes the year 16-6.
