The Central Connecticut Umpire Association is a professional service organization dedicated to the betterment of the games of softball and baseball.  To this end, the Association exists to provide various teams, leagues, tournaments, and organizations with the best available umpires to suit their needs.

Who We Are

·         Umpires are recognized Independent Contractors who may provide their services where they want, when they want and for whom they want.

·         The Central Connecticut Umpire Association is an Independent Organization designed to provide services to all groups or individuals who require their services.

·         The Association has affiliates and affiliations with all of the major softball and baseball governing bodies and its Member Umpires are free to affiliate with whatever organizations they choose as they are Independent Contractors.  Member Umpires are not required to affiliate with any particular national organization.

·         The Association will endeavor to provide to its Client Members umpires that are registered and background checked according to their organization’s requirements.

·         The Association is dedicated to providing training opportunities in the various levels and systems of the games, including Youth Umpire Organizations, in an effort to improve the overall quality of officiating and to help individual umpires reach their maximum potential in the trade.

·         Client Members who enlist the services of the Organization are relieved of the stress and worry over the challenges of recruiting, training, and assigning umpires for their games, an essential aspect of the game.

·         The Central Connecticut Umpire Association does not discriminate against any individuals or organizations based upon gender, ethnicity, age, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.

·         Member Umpires and Client Members work with the Association on a voluntary basis to their mutual benefit with no contractual obligation other than the agreements reached between the various parties regarding services provided and compensation for said services.

·         The Association will coordinate these services/activities among all parties.
