Bateaux Gets Redemption, Hayward and Union Roll

Game Results

Bateaux FC 3 : Barron Soccer Team 0 | Bateaux was awarded a 3-0 forfeit win over Barron Soccer Team, due to Barron's withdrawal from the 2022 season.

Hayward Wolfpack FC 7 : Poskin Jets FC 0 | Poskin traveled to Hayward in hopes of redeeming a 7-0 loss earlier this season, only to find themselves stuck in the same scoreline as before. The Wolfpack's Isaiah Heyworth opened the scoring in the 41st minute. After the half, the floodgates opened for Hayward. Six second half goals, scored by former and current St. Scholastica stars Finigan Huffington (49', 80'), Mally Lumsden (52', 61', 82') and Jordan Finneran (70'), secured the much needed win for the Wolfpack. Hayward outshot Poskin 27-5 with Hayward keeper Dru Senich earning the shutout win in net.

Union Eau Claire FC 18 : Spartan FC 0 | After Bateaux's 15-1 thrashing of Spartan a few weeks ago, Union needed to score a barrage of goals to keep up with their rivals in the Goal Differential race, a second tiebreaker to the league's non-aggregate Head to Head first tiebreaker. A stomping of an 8-man Spartan FC squad proved sufficient. Union's goals came from an array of mostly Eau Claire-grown players, including Ben Zumwalt (4'), Carlos Verduzco (5'), Mason Sherman (9', 27', 49', 60'), Lu Shi Peng Xiong (23', 26', 48', 51'), Awalow Bundid (36', 37', 41', 45', 66'), Larry Mboga (52'), Lucas Zumwalt (58', 67'), who closed out a very lopsided contest. Union outshot Spartan 31-2 with Union keeper Lucas Zumwalt picking up the shutout win in net.

Hayward Wolfpack FC 11 : Spartan FC 1 | Hayward made the 3+ hour trip down to Sparta and came back home with a much deserved win. The Wolfpack's Malcolm Lumsden picked up a hat trick in the first half, scoring in the 13th, 20th and 24th minutes. After the half, Cole Gewerth added a goal in the 46th minute and Lumsden (48', 50', 58', 59') scored four more goals before the 60th minute to finish his 7 goal performance. Spartan FC's Daniel Green scored on a breakaway in the 50th minute, but the Wolfpack rolled along, with Finigan Huffington (85'), King Strum (89') and Jordan Finneran (90') finishing off the scoring. Hayward outshot Spartan 27-5 with Wolfpack keeper Riley Brennan earning the win in net.

Bateaux FC 4 : Lobos FC 2 | Bateaux FC traveled across Highway 29 to avenge an earlier season loss to Lobos FC in a physical, high tempo match. Lobos opened the scoring off a scorching shot from 30 yards out by Yovani Dominguez in the 6th minute. Bateaux's David Ripplinger answered with a goal of his own in the 36th minute to stay even going into the half. Ripplinger scored a brace with a PK goal in the 62nd minute, followed by Lobos' Kyle Durr converting his own PK in the 75th minute. With time running low, Bateaux's Gage Espanet (85') and former Lobos player Erickson Tepole (90') scored two goals in the waning minutes to pull off a thrilling victory for the Eau Claire-based side. Bateaux outshot Lobos 12-5, with Edward Nelson earning the win in net.

Union Eau Claire FC 3 : Barron Soccer Team 0 | Union was awarded a 3-0 forfeit win over Barron Soccer Team, due to Barron's withdrawal from the 2022 season.
