Idaho Athletics Partners with Opendorse to Launch NIL Marketplace for Student-Athletes

MOSCOW, Idaho – Vandal Athletics launched its official school-specific NIL marketplace, powered by Opendorse, to empower Idaho student-athletes in leveraging their name, image, and likeness opportunities.

Vandal fans can now visit Opendorse.com/idaho-vandals to find any Idaho student-athlete who has opted in to the new marketplace and book NIL agreements such as social media endorsements, video shoutouts, appearances, and more. Once a student-athlete receives a request from a fan or business through the marketplace, they can review the opportunity and choose to either accept, decline, or negotiate the terms. All communication for the deal, from pitch to payment, happens through the Opendorse app and the student-athlete receives compensation once the deal is complete. After completing the deal, the Opendorse app also auto-generates tax documentation for the student-athletes.

The Idaho NIL Marketplace is one of the many resources Vandal student-athletes have to help capitalize on their NIL while on campus. Other resources include disclosures through a mobile app, education sessions, and personal brand-building tools such as INFLCR and now Opendorse.

"We are really excited to offer this new platform as an opportunity for our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Terry Gawlik. "We are constantly working toward providing an unparalleled student-athlete experience here at Idaho, and empowering our wonderful student-athletes to maximize their NIL is a huge part of that.  This new marketplace allows the Vandal Family to connect and engage with our student-athletes like never before. Opendorse is a leader in the NIL space, and we are proud to partner with them in developing new, creative opportunities for both current and future Vandal student-athletes."

Student-athletes from all 16 Idaho teams have the opportunity to create an Opendorse profile, which can be customized to let fans know more about their interests and any specific NIL deals they are seeking. Student-athletes can share their profiles on their social media accounts to help promote opportunities to their followers. Additionally, each student-athlete's Opendorse profile will be listed in their bio on the GoVandals.com website.

"Today's announcement of the Idaho Vandals marketplace reaffirms the commitment that Idaho athletics has to supporting student-athletes on and off the field of play," said Opendorse CEO Blake Lawrence. "The Vandals are now in prime position to make the most of their NIL opportunities with the leading marketplace, education and compliance solutions."
