Beau Brunsvold provided the big bop hitting a towering 3 run homer to left in the 5th inning to put the Merchants up 5-0. There was no looking back from there as they cruised to the shutout win. John Eckstein set the tone going 6 scoreless innings allowing 4 hits and 4 strikeouts to get the win. Derek Zitzow threw two scoreless innings and Brandon Baumgartner finished off the 9th with a clean inning himself.
Jesse Munsterman had 3 hits including a double and a RBI. Kobe Senn also tripled and scored two runs.
The Merchants are now 3-4 on the year clawing their way back to .500. Next up is the Mets on Wednesday at Helling Field.
