A. Rule Highlights
1. A/B Batting Order Starting at any Position
2. If a team has 10 players in uniform at the game, the team MUST bat all 10.
3. If a team has only 9 players, the opposing team will have the option of batting 9 only as well.
4. Run Rule – 12 Run Differential after 5 ½ or 6 complete innings. After 6 complete innings, as soon as the 12 run differential is met, the game will be declared final.
5. No new inning may begin after 2 hours and 45 minutes
B. Review of Rules and Regulations
1. All doubleheaders will be 7 inning games unless both managers agree to a different number of innings.
2. Once a pitcher is removed from the mound, he may not return to pitch in that inning but may re-enter the game to pitch one time only. This can be used for only one pitcher per game.
3. 45+/55+/60+ Divisions can have up to 3 Courtesy Runners instead of the normal 2 allowed. The third Courtesy Runner must be for either the Pitcher or Catcher and will stay with the position if that player is removed from pitching or catching.
4. Pitchers and catchers can be exempt from running for a batter needing a courtesy runner.
5. If a batter (designated as needing a courtesy runner) opts to run, or forgets to get a runner and subsequently runs, he will lose his designated runner status for the remaining portion of that game. (Use it or lose it)
6. IN DIVISIONS 45+ AND HIGHER, COURTESY RUNNERS MAY NOT ATTEMPT A STRAIGHT STEAL (LEAVE ON THE PITCHER’S DELIVERY) OF 2ND OR 3RD BASE
7. One intentional walk per team, per game. Pitches are NOT thrown. (MLB Rule)
8. 2 forfeits - league expulsion. If a forfeit occurs, the team must pay full umpires cost $270 by the next scheduled game or forfeit next game.
