HAYWARD -- The Hawks thrilled the home crowd at Larry Somerville Field with a late-inniing rally to defeat the rival Spooner Cardinals 10-3.
The Hawks rallied for 2 runs in the sixth and three in both the seventh and eight innings, erasing a 3-2 Spooner lead.
Matt Flesher led the twelve-hit attack as he drove in five runs. Phil Zeigle, Dawson Jorczak and Micah Bacon added two hits each.
Starter Jonah Sande allowed three runs, two earned over his six innings. Nate Harrison pitched three scoreless innings, striking out nine, to get the save.
The win avenged a 6-4 loss at the hands of the Cardinals back on June 20th.
