Saturday was the start of the COTSL charity drive with its ALLSTAR game. I would like to thank Denny Templeton for umping, Kenny Speenburgh for prepping the field , Don Parshley and Katie Fallon from Topps Market for supplying the food. Also Mark Laplant for being a good chef. Thanks also goes to all the players and teams for the support.

  I asked the players to close their eyes and think back to being 10 years old and how it felt just to play ball ,enjoy just being on the field playing a game. sometimes I think we forget that special feeling!  I hope everyone liked the idea and just remembered. As I watched the game from the third base coaches' box I saw everyone laughing ,smiling . Things like Victor's smoke screen at bat, Dave Adsit first starting pitcher's role and Herbie playing right field and switch hitting. I think the players got to know each other better, not just as the players on the other teams. 

  THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THE DAY A GREAT SUCCESS!!!!! We raised $300 dollars the league has supported the Greene County Women's League in the effort to help cancer victims. I think everyone was the winner !!
