STEVI RESULTS

Speech and Debate team took first place amongst class A schools at the Stevensville tourney with 239 points.  Whitefish took second with 91 points and Hamilton was third with 46 points.

“The event brought together teams from across all competitive classes, providing valuable early-season match-ups against some east-side teams that the we typically do not face until the state tournament. While the team’s strong finish was encouraging, many top contenders from other teams were not at the competition. Their absence serves as a reminder that future matchups will likely be even more challenging as the season progresses. These kids are an amazing group and will continue to work hard with hopes of carrying this momentum into the upcoming competitions,” coach Dawn Wheeler said.

The Wildcats have the next two weeks off with the next tournament scheduled on Dec. 5 at  Flathead.

WHITEFISH RESULTS

The Columbia Falls Wildcats Speech and Debate team won the Whitefish Tournament on Saturday. While the Wildcats took top honors with 138 points, the events were competitive, with the Whitefish team once again placing second with 115 points and Bigfork placing third with 90 points — a much tighter point spread.

“We’re really proud of how our students performed.  The competition gets tougher each week, and it’s still early in the season. These close results push everyone to keep improving and stay sharp,” coach Dawn Wheeler said.

The week before in Missoula the Wildcats were third overall and first amongst Class A schools.

The team will next compete at Stevensville on Saturday.

CFALLS WINS FIRST DEBATE OF THE YR

Another amazing weekend for the Wildcats Speech and Debate Team — taking first place once again at the Whitefish tournament with 138 points! The Whitefish and Bigfork teams once again filled out the top three with 115 and 90 points. The scores were closer this week between the three valley schools than last week — a sign of how tough and exciting the competition is getting.
We’re proud of how our team performed. It’s still early in the season, and these close results show just how strong the field is this year.
