The NYSPHSAA and the NYS Soccer Chairmen have approved a new Spalding ball for the 2026 fall soccer season.

Following review and discussion, both the NYSPHSAA Boys and Girls Soccer Committees support this transition.
The TF-5000 Pro will replace the current model as the official NYSPHSAA soccer ball and will be used for the 2026 fall playoff.
For playoff contests where game balls are not provided by the NYSPHSAA, the host school will continue to provide the game ball.
During this transition, schools may use either the TF-5000 or the TF-5000 Pro for those contests.

... features an improved bladder, backing, and cover, which are designed to enhance durability and overall performance.
Inventory of the TF-5000 Pro is expected to arrive sometime this summer.
The date allows schools and sections to begin incorporating the ball during the 2026 regular season.
