Coach Derek
I am incredibly excited to step into the role of Head Coach for the East Michigan Panthers Men’s Varsity soccer squad! My coaching philosophy is rooted in a lifelong passion for the game, built on my own experience competing at a high level throughout my youth soccer career. Having navigated the physical and tactical demands of elite youth sports firsthand, I know exactly what it takes to develop competitive, high-IQ players on the pitch and strong leaders off of it.
My focus this season is twofold: 1) to maintain our proud championship tradition by building a disciplined, high-velocity attacking culture right from day one, and 2) to honor and continue the legacy of success established by our founders, Coach Doug and Athletic Director Kathie Marshall, whose years of dedicated vision and service created this wonderful organization.
Off the pitch, my family is my ultimate support system, and I am especially proud to have my son out on the pitch competing with this incredible group of young men. We are thrilled to be fully invested in the Panthers community and look forward to seeing everyone on the sidelines cheering us on all season long!
