The Spikes would like to honor the following players for there dedication, time and performance on the field. At a future date their jerseys will be retired and an event will take place honoring their dedication to the Spikes:

#5 Ryan Froehlich
Ryan joined the Spikes for the 2004 season and played through the 2009 season, with one game in 2010. Ryan was an instrumental part of the team for 6 full seasons and was a huge part of the 2008 MCL championship vs the Valmeyer Lakers. Ryan not only brought excellent talent on the field at 2B and SS, but his demeanor and personality were irreplaceable off the field. He was always upbeat, positive and brought that to the field ever game. Ryan epitomizes what a St. Louis Spikes player is, on and off the field. Ryan's career stats:

#24 Shane Lyday
Shane helped spearhead the idea for the Spikes back before the 2002 season and played part of 6 seasons, starting in 2002 through 2006 and then again in 2009. Shane was a key fixture in the Spikes lineup and played all 3 OF positions. From the 1st Spikes win vs the Rockies to the 1st Spikes tourney championship in Springfield, MO, Shane was a great Spike and a great teammate. Shane always hustled and always came up with that big clutch hit. Shane's career stats:
