STATE CHAMPS TO BE

Boyle County Youth Football (BCYF) is dedicated to teaching young people the game of football through positive interactions between coaches and players. We have established a culture that ensures players participate in an atmosphere of learning, discipline, competition, and safety. We strive to instill in our players traits and values that will benefit them both on and off the field, showing them how to handle success and failure in a mature and productive manner.

All coaches and board members volunteer their time freely to cultivate this environment. BCYF asks that all parents support their children’s investment in football by donating their time in the following ways:

  1. Please try to have at least one parent at your child’s game. If an injury occurs to your child, we may need you to be there to give parental consent.

  2. Be flexible about scheduling. Rebel Nation is blessed to have a great facility to play at. BCYF tries to schedule as many games on the turf as possible. This presents a challenge, however, as all Boyle County High School sports take first priority. BCYF reserves the right to change scheduled times and places for this very reason.

Please join your team’s REMIND TEXTS. You will be given the opportunity to join at The League Wide Practice

  1. Volunteer for “Game Day” concessions or chain crew throughout the season. BCYF raises funds through concessions to pay for the officiating of each game. We keep the sign-up cost low for players, with the expectation that funding will come through concession money and Rebel Bowl. We need your help in accomplishing this. We ask that you volunteer for at least 3 home games (not including Rebel Bowl). Please let your Team Mom know what areas you would like to serve in, along with any dates that you will NOT be available. We may use this information to assign you a date and position ahead of schedule.

* A smile and a good attitude are all that is necessary for Concession Work. We will place you with someone who has experience in handling concession stocking, cooking, and money exchange.

*Being a part of the “Chain Crew” is a great way to view the game and get a perspective that most parents can’t get. BCYF will make sure you are with an experienced volunteer who has performed this duty and can talk you through it.

  1. Keep a portion of Rebel Bowl Day open to volunteer!!  We raise a large percentage of our operating capital from this one day invitational (see important dates below). You may have to work during your child’s game, but we try to schedule volunteer blocks in front of, or behind your child’s game. This day is about raising money for equipment. Come prepared to work!

  2. Sell Pancake Breakfast tickets (see important dates below). This event also helps us raise money for the season and equipment, and is a great way to meet other team members and parents. We will need workers for Pancake Breakfast!!

  3. Have patience with your child and their coaches. Each player progresses at a different rate. Some players will see more playing time early in the season because of athletic ability, on field experience, confidence, or willingness. We want to play ALL PLAYERS, but our coaches will not put a player in a position that they are not ready for physically or mentally. It is a building process that starts with the 3rd Grade and continues through the 6th Grade for BCYF Players.

  4. Communicate with us about what we are doing well and what we could do better through Team Moms and Board Members (see contacts below).
