Ryan joined the Cardinals midway through the 2009 season. Ryan was an integral part to the 2009 team as he pitched, played short and third and was a big hitter in the middle of the lineup.

Ryan grew up playing out of the Brantford Minor Baseball Association. He is currently a member of the Brant Cardinals.
