Luke Anderson and Greg Lunski combined for 16 strikeouts as the Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants topped the Mayville Redcaps 3-1 on Wednesday in Fargo.

Anderson fanned 12 over seven innings. He allowed one run on just two hits and added a double and walked at the plate. The veteran Lunski registered four strikeouts over two scoreless frames.

Tom Houdek went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Merchants. Joe Vannett was 2-for-4 and scored. Steve Hirchert added an RBI single and Joey Demers singled and walked for the Merchants, who improved to 15-4. They play a doubleheader Sunday at Jack Brown Stadium against the Jamestown Elks.
