Preston Jensen went 3-for-5 with a run and a stolen base to lead the Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants’ 12-hit attack in a 6-2 win over the Fargo Expos on Wednesday.

The Merchants improved to 7-2 on the season and play the Jamestown Elks twice on Sunday at Jack Brown Stadium, beginning at 1 p.m.

Jameson Benson doubled twice out of the 9-hole and had three RBI for the Merchants, who led 4-0 after three runs in the bottom of the third inning. Tom Houdek and Scott Stephenson added two hits each. Stephenson scored twice, stole a base and had an RBI.

Jared Purdy went 1-for-2 with a run, RBI and stolen base.

Brandon Baumgartner, the third of three pitchers, went three scoreless innings of relief with four strikeouts to notch the save.
