The Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants squeezed in another win before the rains came on Wednesday night in Fargo League play.

 

Brandon Baumgartner piled up 10 strikeouts in just five innings of work to get the win. All four runs against him were unearned. He surrendered five hits.

The Merchants scored five runs in the top of the second inning.

Bryan Erstad banged out two doubles and a triple as part of a 3-for-3 game with two RBI for the Merchants. He also scored a run. Dan Ross doubled and scored in the win, while Greg Lunski was 1-for-1 with an RBI and a walk.

The Merchants are now 12-4 on the season. They took third at a tournament in Detroit Lakes the previous weekend. They’re back in action on Wednesday against Mayville.
