The Jamestown Merchants amateur baseball team topped the Jamestown Elks 3-2 in nine innings Sunday during the championship game of the Dale "Gopher" Lien Memorial tournament at Jack Brown Stadium.
Dan Ross was the hero for the Merchants after delivering the game-winning, walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth inning. Starting pitcher Greg Lunski threw eight innings and Ross pitched the ninth to become the winning pitcher during the contest.
The Merchants will face the Cass County Catfish on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Fargo.
