Suffolk Board of Womens' Basketball Officials

The 2018 SBWBO clinic will begin Oct. 2 from 7-9:30 p.m. at Brook Ave. Elementary (Room 202), 45 Brook Ave., Bay Shore, 11706. Clinic fee is $250.

Remaining classroom dates are: Oct. 4, 9, 10, 16, 18, 22, 24, 29, Nov. 1. The written closed book exam is Nov. 13. Sessions will run from 7-9:30 p.m. For those who pass the written exam (86%), we will hold four mechanics sessions (Nov. 14, 15, 19, 20) at Bay Shore HS back gym in preparation for your court test on Dec. 1 at Northport HS at 9 a.m. 

Aside from the clinic fee, officials may also be responsible for being finger printed, paying dues and purchasing a uniform. The total cost may be between $600-$700 before you officially work your first game. Section XI game fees begin at $87.50. The JH schedule begins the first week of February.  Once you become certified, you are eligible to work CYO, AAU and all other youth and adult leagues. SBWBO is not involved in the assigning of any of those leagues.
