SCSL HALL OF FAME

1)      Big John Holst- John joined SCSL in 2006 and immediately made his presence felt with a runner up run at the league’s 1st HR derby competition. John played for 7 years in the league, coached several teams, and was the “BIG MAN ON CAMPUS”

 

2)      Jaime Deluca- Jaime joined SCSL in 2006 and always seemed to find a way into the league’s final 4. He won his 1st Championship with the 2007 Pasquariello’s fall team and then again the next summer & fall with the Advantage Mortgage teams. In 2010 Jaime helped run the entire league and donated countless hours to the ballfields.

 

3)      Molly Malone-Molly was the 1st ever female to join SCSL and played right through the 2010 season winning the summer Championship as coach of the Aficionado team.

 

4)      Lisa Evans-Lisa is the only female in the Hall of Fame still actively playing for SCSL (Lower Albany) and is the only player outside of the league commissioner to play every season in the league’s existence.

 

5)      George “Counselor” Slingerland-George registered the 1st ever team with SCSL back when it was Sportzfusion in 2005 (Viperz) and played/managed right through 2009 winning a summer championship with his Superbad team over the Glenville Bulldogs in his final season.

 

6)      Howard Grieves- Lefty came to the league in 2008 as coach of the Fighting Manatees and was an intricate part of the league becoming assistant commissioner in his final season of 2011 putting in many hours to make the fields look nice.

 

7)      Jim “Pete Carroll” Ainscoe-Jim came to the league in 2006 with IT Systems and immediately became a league favorite playing with various teams and his knack of placing the ball where he wants. Jim took his 1st coaching gig with SCSL in the fall of 2013

 

8)      Frank-E-Man Jubrey-Frank played in the initial season of the league and won the championship. He won again in the fall of 2007 with the Pasquariello’s team and played his last game in the fall of 2009 as a result of a line drive back to the box. Put a cold beer on that

 

9)      Charlie Frisch- Charlie is the original founder of this league when it was Sportzfusion back in 2005. With a chance meeting, Charlie and League Commissioner Bill Koren built and maintained the league based on the stability Charlie provided for the league the 1st 2 seasons. Sportzfusion became SCSL in 2007 after Charlie’s departure.

10) Spencer Falco AKA Chewbacca- Spencer came into the league in 2006 playing with the Mutts and soon became a constant league presence running several teams. In 2008, Spencer became part of the 2 year men's league. In 2010 Spencer also became part of the committee that helped run the league

11) Hector Acevedo- Hector came into the league in 2006 running the Rupsis Tavern team which became 20 North for several years afterwards. He also ran the 20 North Men's team and added several tournament teams. Hector has always been an active league participant and still to this day umpires league games.

12) Mark "Pontiac" Bonneville-Pontiac joined the league in 2007 managing several teams throughout the years and also playing on the Men's 3N2 team. Pontiac is still serving as an umpire to this day.
