  WINTERBALL PROGRAM

2019

SJMBA is pleased to once again offer our Winterball program to players from all baseball associations or youngsters who just want to give baseball a try.

REGULAR PROGRAM

This program is offered to players aged 7-15. Young players must turn 7 prior to January 4, 2019.

There will be two 7-week sessions this year:

Session 1 – January 04– February 22 (7 weeks – no program on Friday, Jan. 18/19)

Session 2 – March 8 – April 26 (7 weeks – no program on Friday, Mar. 01/19 and Good Friday, April 19/19)

Sessions will take place every Friday from 6:30 – 10:00 pm at the Techniplex. Sessions will be split into two groups or segments:

Early Group - 6:30 – 8:10 pm:    Open to beginners and house league players aged 7-15 i.e. Rally Cap to Bantam.

Late Group - 8:20 – 10:00 pm:   Open to AAA- AA-A all-star players only (Mosquito, Pee Wee, Bantam)

DETAILS

·        7 sessions – 11.6 hours plus in total

·        Entire Techniplex used for all sessions

·        Head Instructors – Mark Healy, Sean Gulliver and Glenn Cribb

·        Experienced instructors from St. John’s Senior and Intermediate League

·        Excellent instructor-player ratio

·        Program will focus on skill development, teaching baseball strategies/rules and having FUN!

COST - $225.00 for a single session or $400.00 for both sessions

Note:         We cannot guarantee that players who register for Session 1 only, will get a spot in Session 2.

GIRLS PROGRAM

There will be two 8-week session for all girls aged 6-18.

Session 1 - January 6 – February 24 (8 weeks)

Session 2 - March 3 – April 28 (8 weeks – no program on Easter Sunday, April 21)

Sessions will take place every Sunday night from 8:00 – 9:30 pm at the Techniplex.

DETAILS

·        8 nights in each Session – 12 hours in total

·        Entire Techniplex used for all sessions

·        Head Instructors – Mark Healy, Sean Gulliver and Glenn Cribb

·        Experienced female and male instructors from the region

·        Excellent instructor-player ratio

·        Program will focus on skill development, teaching baseball strategies/rules and having FUN!

COST - $225.00 for a single session or $400.00 for both sessions

NOTE:            WE WILL ALLOW GIRLS TO REGISTER FOR BOTH THE REGULAR AND GIRLS WINTER BALL PROGRAMS.

REGISTRATION

Registration will commence on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2018. You can register your son or daughter in one of two ways:

·        On-line through our web site – www.baseballstjohns.ca.  Payment in full must be made when you register. You will be able to pay on-line through PayPal or any major credit card.

·        If unable to register on-line, you can contact Mike Buist (Executive Director) mike@sjmba.ca or (709) 699-5432. Mike will expect payment through Credit card or e-transfer.
