::CLUB UPDATE, MAY 15, 2020::

Good morning, everyone. I apologize for the lateness in posting this as it is a post that I have put off writing due to the sadness it is causing. Unfortunately, due do the extension of the Governor's stay at home orders the 2020 T&F season is cancelled. This is not the outcome we were hoping for, but it is out of our control. If you had already registered for this season, your registration will roll over to next year's season.

I believe I can speak for all of the TCT coaches when I say we are saddened that we aren't able to train with your athletes this year. After spending countless spring and summer days up at the track with all of our athletes over the years, this is a hard pill to swallow. I can honestly say that despite the hours I (and all the other TCT coaching staff) personally invest in trying to be the best coach for our athletes, it has always been worth it. As a coach there is nothing better than than seeing an athlete work hard towards their goals, and seeing their joy when they score a PR in their respective events. I truly miss seeing all of you, and am counting down the days until next season when we will come back stronger than ever.

Now, for a small (hopefully!) bright spot this summer. It is our intent to put on a couple track meets this summer. With the Southridge HS track undergoing major renovations this summer, we will have to find another place to hold meets. Our plans include holding a high school aged only meet where athletes from across the state will be invited to compete, as well as a typical USATF meet where we have all ages compete. We are also considering on holding a track camp of sorts for our athletes between the ages of 6-14. I know this isn't much, but it is all we have to offer at this point. As soon as we are updated on what we will be allowed to do this summer, we will make sure to let you all know as well.

Stay strong and healthy everyone. And it is my sincere hope we are able to spend a few days together this summer out at a track.
