The Magnolia Silver Bullets will be hosting tryouts Wednesday August 9th 6pm-8pm, Saturday August 12th 10am-12pm, and Sunday August 13th 10am-12pm at the Magnolia girls softball field, located at 401 North Warwick Road Magnolia NJ 08049. To complete our roster we are looking for young women who are hard working and dedicated. All positions are welcome to try out with a strong consideration for a starting pitcher and a starting shortstop. The majority of the tournaments we enter are college showcase's. We will also do fundraisers throughout the year that help with expenses.All coaches are volunteer. Team fees go straight to tournaments, uniforms, and equipment. The Silver Bullets are coached by Pam Marshall, a former college athlete at Georgian Court University and assistant coach at Hadddonfield Memorial High School. Today was a very sad and difficult day for everyone associated with the Magnolia Girls Softball family. Bill Marshall was truly loved and respected by all, and that was clearly evident today. It was wonderful to see all of the support from current and former players, parents, friends, community members, and people involved with South Jersey softball. THANK YOU! This afternoon, a number of people traveled to the fields with Bill’s family and released balloons in memory of Coach Bill. It was a touching tribute to a man who gave so much to so many. In the weeks and months ahead, there will be discussions about what we can do to best honor Bill. At this point, please keep his wife Barb, children Melissa, Brett, and Pam, and grandchildren Arianna, Christian, and Isabella in your thoughts and prayers. Once again, THANK YOU to everyone who helped make today a special day for remembering Bill.
