UPDATED DIVISION & WEB SITE
Due to everything that has been going on this year the division lost some teams from the division & added another team. The division saw Lehigh Valley Hurricanes, Newtown Braves & Philly Oldtimers leave & the Radnor Raiders return to Bux-Mont in the over 45 Division.
The new division now looks like below.
1 West Norriton Cubs
2 Top Lumber
3 Horsham Rays
4 Lansdale Cannoneers
5 Springtown Mudcats
6 Berwyn White Sox
I also (as you can probably tell ) have added music to the home page. Let me know what you think. I have several other tunes to choose from.
An article about the Cubs skipper Mike Vasas on the MSBL National web site.
As everyone has suspected, the season has been delayed until the stay at home order has been lifted. Can't wait to get started but this virus stuff is more important & must be stopped.

BUX-MONT CUBS WIN THE OVER 45 CENTRAL DIVISION FALL CLASSIC CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!

The Cubs headed to the Fall Classic in West Palm Beach & Jupiter Florida looking to bring home the championship for the first time in a number of years. The team felt confident heading into the classic after a solid regular season in the Bux-Mont Baseball league & a couple of additions to the roster for the tournament. This roster that was brought down to Florida didn't have any weak spots in the lineup, on the bench or in the starting rotation. The wasn't an easy out in the order. The order actually had about 7 guys that could bat 4th in it throughout the tournament. Weather in week one of the Fall Classic would play a factor some & cause absolute chaos in week two with how many rain outs occurred throughout the week.
Game # 1 of the tourney against the Columbus Dragons was supposed to be the Cubs stadium game being played in Roger Dean Stadium but after a lot of rain on Sunday they moved it to Marlins # 5. The Cubbies's offense was on fire from the start & provided runs support through out the game.Tony Carfagno came out of the chute with his A game & pitched 7 solid innings before Dave Raimondo came in to close out the game & seal a 15-3 win.
Game # 2, which was game # 1 of DH, was a rematch against the Hitzmen which were the team that both knocked the Cubs out of the playoffs & won the tournament last year. Tommy Troutman came out & pitched masterly pitched all 9 innings while the offense continued to rake as they defeated the defending champs 12-2.
Game # 3 ( game # 2 of a doubleheader ) had the team squaring off with the 2016 Fall Classic Champion MD Monarchs. The Cubs had to piece together pitching in this game after pitcher Dan Yannes pulled a muscle while pitching but the offense picked up the clack & won 8-5.
Game # 4 took on an old foe that has since changed the name of the team from the Atlanta Giants to the Atlanta Spirits. Every time these two teams meet it's a nail biter. Tournament MVP Matt Altieri hit the ball out & closed the game for the second time in the tournament the win over the Saints. Paul O'Connor started the game & pitched 7 1/3 innings in this meeting against the Saints as the final score was 7- 6.
The last game of the placing portion of the tournament took place against the Albany Yankees. Since the Cubs had locked up first in the division with a 4-0 record heading into the game against the Yanks the Cubs pitched the outfielders in this one.
After being seeded at # 2 in the playoffs we were now scheduled to play the Atlanta Spirit once again. This game was a laugher as the Cubbies won 11-3. Tommy Troutman pitched another 9 inning gem in the one.
Game # 2 the semi-finals the Cubs once again took on the Hitzmen. This game was a laughter as the Cubs win 11-2. Bobby Altieri took the hill for the Cubs pitching all 9 innings.
After the win over the Hitzmen it set the Cubs up to face the Isotopes in Roger Sean Stadium with former Cub Juan Rodriguez on the team.
Unfortunately rain came in over night & washed out all games for Saturday. So after discussion with the MSBL office the Cubs were declared the champions.

CUBS HEADING TO MSBL FALL CLASSIC NATIONAL TOURNAMENT IN WEST PALM BEACH & JUPITER FLORIDA
The Cubbies will be heading to Florida 11/4 - 11/09 to participate in the MSBL National Fall Classic Tournament as the Bux-Mont Cubs. The Cubs head to the fall classic every yearfor fun in the sun, playing in minor league facilities & trying for that national/tournament championship. The tournament has about 1500 players participating total in all the divisions. Past tournaments have included former major leaguers & NFL players such as Dante Bichette, Mark Whitten, Carl Everette, Dennis " Oil Can " Boyd, Jeff Bagwell & Doug Flutie.
Last year the Cubbies got to one game from the finals & are feeling good about this coming tournment. the Bux-Mont Cubs have a lot of the Collegeville Cubs & some added players from other teams. I will try to update the site & our facebook page throughout the tournament while in Florida.
