Basketball
 
The Four Towns Community Center offers youth basketball programs for K - 6th Graders.  Our goal is to teach kids fundamental basketball skills, the basic concepts of competitive play and most importantly good sportsmanship and teamwork .  We utilize the South Seneca Central School gyms in Interlaken and Ovid for practices and games.  Our coaches are all volunteers and we welcome parent help (especially for Bitty Ball).  We offer the following programs:
 
Bitty Ball - Grades K - 2nd
 
Bitty Ball registration will be in November/December.  The program consists of 4-5 Saturday morning sessions typically offered in January/February.  In these sessions the kids will learn dribbling, shooting, passing and some defense.  Although there are no competitive games, the coaches will try to offer some scrimmaging to have the kids get the feel of the game.  
 
REGISTRATION OPEN NOW THROUGH DEC 14th
 
Coached by Charity Couch, Adam Rundell, and Adam Prentice
Open to Pre-K to Grade 2
Pre-K and K practice 9-9:45am
1st and 2nd grade practice 10-11am
Practices are Saturdays Jan 5th-February 9th
Cost $30 (players receive a basketball on 2/9)
  
 
Travel Basketball - Grades 3 - 6th
 
Travel Basketball registration will be in October  We offer a 3/4 grade team and 5/6 grade team for the boys and the girls.  Both age groups will travel however 3/4 grade teams will have a slightly less intense schedule than the 5/6 grade teams.  Parents will be responsible to transport kids to at least two practices a week and weekend games.  Games will be on Saturdays and Sundays and travel time to games can range for 30- 60 minutes.

5/6 Girls:  Mr. Neville (He makes 2nd grade fun)

2018/2019 Practice Schedule (Interlaken):
3/4 Boys:  Mon./Tues./Thurs. 5:30-6:30 p.m.
3/4 Girls:  Mon./Tues. 5:30-6:30 p.m. 
5/6 Boys:  Wed. 5:30-7 p.m. & Thur. 5:30-6:30 p.m. (Saturdays in December 8:30-10am)
5/6 Girls:  Wed. 5:30-7 p.m. & Thur. 5:30-6:30 p.m. (Saturdays in December 9-10am)
 
There may be some open gyms Saturday mornings as well until games start!!
 
Registration
 
Registration fee for each program varies each year based on league fees, cost of referees, uniforms, tournament cost, etc.  To keep our registration fees down we sell concession and charge an entrance fee to each of the travel league home games.  Parent help is needed to run these stations.  Please let your coach know if you are able to help out.

Wrestling

 

 

 

Wrestling:

  • Season begins Monday, November 14th 2018 at 6 pm for Grades K-6
  • All practices & registration will be held in the Wrestling Room at South Seneca High School in Ovid. 
  • Cost for registration is $40 per child, scholarships available.
